Psychological Immigration Evaluations

Navigating the immigration process can feel overwhelming - especially when your story involves trauma, fear, or significant life hardship. Psychological immigration evaluations are a powerful tool that can help strengthen your case by providing a clear, clinically informed understanding of your experiences and mental health.

As a licensed therapist with a specialized background in trauma, I provide thorough, objective, and compassionate evaluations to support individuals and their legal teams throughout the immigration process.

Types of Evaluations Offered

I provide comprehensive psychological evaluations for a variety of immigration cases, including:

Hardship Waivers

These evaluations document the emotional, psychological, and mental health impact that separation would have on a qualifying U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident family member.

Asylum

Asylum evaluations focus on documenting trauma, persecution, and fear of returning to one’s home country, helping to establish credibility and the psychological impact of past experiences.

VAWA (Violence Against Women Act)

These evaluations support individuals who have experienced abuse by a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse or family member, highlighting the emotional and psychological effects of that abuse.

U-Visas

U-Visa evaluations are for victims of certain crimes who have suffered substantial mental or emotional harm and are assisting law enforcement.

T-Visas

T-Visa evaluations support individuals who have experienced human trafficking, documenting trauma and its ongoing psychological impact.

What to Expect

The evaluation process is structured, supportive, and designed to help you feel safe while sharing your story:

  • Two virtual sessions (1 hour each)

  • A detailed clinical interview and assessment

  • Collaboration with your attorney, if applicable

  • A comprehensive 10–12 page psychological report tailored to your case

Each report is written with clinical precision and objectivity, while clearly connecting your experiences to the legal standards required for your case.

Why Work With Me

Choosing the right evaluator matters. Immigration evaluations can significantly influence the outcome of a case, and they must be both clinically sound and legally relevant.

  • Extensive background as a trauma therapist

  • Deep understanding of how trauma impacts memory, emotion, and functioning

  • Ability to provide objective, well-documented reports that hold up in legal settings

  • Compassionate, culturally sensitive approach

  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds

My goal is to create a space where your story is heard and accurately represented—while ensuring your evaluation meets the highest professional standards.
